1st February 1999
Computer and Management Institute (CMI) approved by the Royal Civil Service Commission vide letter No RCSC/S-4/99/4762 Dated 13/14- January-1999 as a Vocational Training Institute in Phuentsholing, however, DashoTshetrim Tenzin, Dungpa of Phuentsholing officially inaugurated the institute on 1st June 1999.
1st June 2001
The Institute got registered with NTTA, (National Technical Training Authority)
1st January 2003
Diploma in Commercial Accounting and Information Technology started.
Year 2006
In the same year the Institute formed External Examination Committees including the member from DOS, MoLHR to conduct the examination to the trainees and certify the quality pass outs from the Institute, both in Commercial Accounting and IT (Computer Applications)
Year 2010
The Institute received the Registration certificate from DOS, MoLHR. In the same year onward the Institute initiated the Quality Management System (QMS) to give quality trainings.
Year 2011
We at CMI are committed to provide quality training for gainful employment. In realization of this commitment the institute shall comply with all the applicable requirements and continuously improve on efficient and effective functioning by implementing and maintaining an effective Quality Management System.
Year 2012
Institute got Accredited two courses for National Certificate Level I & II in Computer Application Assistant and Commercial Accountant from DOS, MoLHR.
November 2014
Institute got Accredited two courses for National Certificate Level III in Commercial Accountant from DOS, MoLHR.
Year 2015
Quality Management System (QMS) got endorsed from Department of Occupational Standards, MoLHR.
Year 2016
Computer and Management Institute has conducted Youth Training Skills programs supported by the Ministry of Labour and Human Resource
Year 2017
Computer and Management Institute has conducted few SEED training programs in India supported by the Ministry of Labour and Human Resource.
Year 2019
The Institute is awarded QMS Certificate by DOS, MoLHR. Vide certificate No. MoLHR/DOS/2019-012 dated 5th June 2019.
13th June 2019
Updated the Curriculum of Commercial Accounting and the Department of Technical Education, Ministry of Labour and Human Resources has Endorsed the Curriculum for National Certificate Level II & III vide Certificate No. DTE/CEC-CA/20190000031
